We study life in the big bad oceans using tiny fragments of DNA. We have a special fondness for fish and we strive for social and environmental justice.
Marine Biodiversity for a Sustainable Future
Our team has several decades of experience in studying marine biodiversity at multiple organisational levels, using DNA variation as the core principle. We investigate how marine populations and communities are spatially structured and the processes that shape them over time. We are motivated to ensure that our work can contribute to a healthier world.
We are always open to receiving enquiries. Feel free to contact us to explore collaborations, postgraduate research opportunities, postdoctoral positions, media and advisory engagements, and any other ideas. We are particularly keen to support prospective candidates and contributors from groups and backgrounds that have been unjustly excluded from marine biodiversity and conservation genomics research for a long time.
